Steve’s work as a playwright has brought to the stage the stories of Henry Muhlenberg, Christopher Columbus, Lewis & Clark, Nicholas Copernicus, Thaddeus Kosciuszko and the archaeologist Howard Carter, who discovered the tomb of King Tut. His script for the musical Flight, based on the life of Howard Hughes, won the prestigious Stanley Drama Award. His historical plays are known for their marvelous combination of thorough research and delightful storytelling.
As an actor, Steve has played a wide variety of roles from Van Helsing, the vampire hunter in Dracula to Mr. Toad in The Wind in the Willows. He has also appeared in a variety of commercials, including Good Neighbor Pharmacy and Encore Dental Insurance. Steve is a member of Christ’s Lutheran Church in Oreland, PA, where his wife, Elise, is the Director Of Spiritual Formation. The couple are the co-founders of Family Stages, which produces classic fairy tales at the Ambler Theater. |
